Luxury Real Estate Photography Challenges
No matter what type of photography genre you are in you will constantly be faced with challenges that require you to use a creative approach to deliver quality photos to your client. In this video we will be covering different challenges I encountered during a luxury real estate shoot in Las Vegas:
1. A mixed lighting situation for a money shot showcasing the views from the home.
2. We will also talk about using the natural light and compositing your image so that the viewer's attention will not be wandering around the photo.
3. This home's rear yard was still under construction but we still need to be creative in how we compose and edit the photo to still deliver a photo that the client can use to market the property.
Aerial Twilight Photography Dealing with Mixed Lighting
In this image breakdown I cover 2 types of aerial twilights which can be applied for real estate photography or commercial. The first image is a mixed lighting scenario which requires a lot more editing in lightroom and photoshop to achieve the desired results and the 2nd image is a consistent lighting scenario allowing for a faster process in editing.
Luxury Real Estate Photography Fixing Mistakes!
Even as a professional we all eventually will make mistakes in our photography career. In this video I wanted to share with you a recent mistake I made on a client luxury real estate shoot where I missed a pillow not positioned correctly on a chair and all my photos had that pillow fallen over. I can't go reshoot and had to figure out a way to fix the problem to still deliver a quality photo to my client. Hopefully this video can help you to slow down on your shoots to take your time and if a mistake does happen to look at all the variables to fix that solution. End of the day what matters when we make a mistake is that we learn from it to grow as a professional.
We will also be covering my approach to shooting a twilight front Money shot of a home and how using the fake tilt shift effect can help draw the viewers eye into the areas of the photo we want rather than to an unwanted area.
Real Estate Photography Twilight Edit in Photoshop and Lightroom
In real estate photography twilight photos are a key component to marketing a home. Twilight photos can capture the mood, lighting and brilliance of a home compared to the daytime photo but sometimes we as photographers need to use additional lighting to really showcase the home in its best light. Join me as we break down this edit of shooting a twilight photo of the house front using supplemental lighting and editing it in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Sharing to Instagram and Facebook Vertical Stories
One of the challenges we face when sharing photos to social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook is dealing with horizontal photos in vertical stories, it never looks good because there is so much empty space above and below the image due to the vertical format. I want to share with you my approach as to how I tackle this problem when sharing my images to stories on Instagram and Facebook.
